Alternative Electronic Theses and Dissertations (AETDs) are styled with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Alternative ETD Formatting Guidelines (an adaption of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center thesis and dissertation guidelines (9-2-23)) and are stored in the UTHSC Digital Commons (DC) repository in standard PDF format. The AETD Guidelines do not require the different standard of formatting required for ETDs.
AETDs that are not embargoed can be downloaded and viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader/Pro or other PDF-reading software. AETDs may also be viewed using a PDF viewer web browser plugin. Recent AETDs may be under embargo for a specified period; for these documents, click on an AETD title to access the metadata page that contains the Abstract. All manuscripts have copyrights, and the reuse of content must be requested and approved by the AETD author. To facilitate contacting the author, use their ORCID ID link when available.
