Abstract
Several 2-thiocyanoimidazoles have been prepared from the corresponding mercaptoimidazoles and cyanogen bromide. Best results were obtained when the reactants were mixed in the solid state. No evidence was found for thiocyanation of imidazoles by treatment with thiocyanogen. © 1953, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
